Indian Cuisine: Rasai

--

Hello foodies! This week, I had the pleasure of visiting Rasai, a modern Indian restaurant located in the heart of Fremont, Seattle. The menu is a fusion of traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine, and it is perfect for those who want to try something new and unique. If you’re a fan of Indian food, Rasai is definitely a place you should try.

One of the things I loved about Rasai was its emphasis on utilizing fresh and high-quality ingredients. The dishes are skillfully crafted with a blend of unique Indian spices and flavors to create a variety of tantalizing taste combinations. The menu includes a range of classic Indian spices like cumin, cardamom, and curry leaves, along with modern ingredients like liquid smoke and molecular mint. The chefs at Rasai have a deep understanding of how to blend these ingredients together to create dishes that are both innovative and recognizable.

Ghee Roasted Cauliflower

We began our meal with the Ghee Roasted Cauliflower, a vegetarian dish that showcases roasted cauliflower florets coated with ghee. Ghee, a type of clarified butter, is commonly used in Indian cuisine, adding a rich and nutty flavor. The roasted cauliflower was served with green papaya, a tropical fruit widely used in South Asian cuisine that provided a tangy and slightly sweet contrast to the dish. It was a fantastic surprise for my taste buds, especially my love for tangy flavors.
